Boeing 727 PIC Initial Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61
This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B727 Type Rating.
Prerequisites:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
- Instrument Rating
- ATP written
- Meets the requirements of Part 61
Course Duration: Approximately 21 Days
Classroom Instruction: 56:00 Hours
System Integration Training: 24:00 Hours (16:00 hours classroom; mock-up or simulator without motion + 8:00 hours briefing)
Simulator/Flight Training: 16:00 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
Boeing 727 PIC Reduced Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61
This course is for crewmembers that have been previously trained and qualified as a Pilot on the B727 aircraft, with a minimum of 250 hours logged in aircraft type. This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B727 Type Rating.
Prerequisites:
- Served as a B-727 active crew member within the last 59 months
- Minimum of 250 hours in type
- Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
- Instrument Rating
- ATP written; or hold an ATP
- Meets the requirements of Part 61
Course Duration: Approximately 12 Days
Classroom Instruction: 24:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: 16:00 Hours per trainee, or to proficiency (Level C or higher)
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
Boeing 727 PIC Recurrent, Part 61.58
This course is to ensure that a PIC crewmember is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the B727 aircraft. The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified PIC crewmembers on the B727 aircraft.
Prerequisites:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a B727 Type Rating.
Course Duration: Approximately 4 Days
Classroom Instruction: 16:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired: 02:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours PM (Level B or higher)
* Non Paired: 04:00 Hours PF (Level B or higher)
Simulator/Proficiency Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level B or higher)
Boeing 727 Second In Command SIC Initial Qualification, Part 61.55
This course provides the SIC crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a SIC Qualification Check, meeting the requirements of Part 61.55. The course is incomplete until documentation is provided for one takeoff and landing in the B727 aircraft.
Prerequisites:
- Private Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
- Instrument Rating

Boeing 727 Flight Engineer (FE) Initial Certification, Part 63, Subpart B
This course provides the trainee with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B727 Flight Engineer Turbo Jet Powered Certificate.
Prerequisites:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
- Instrument Rating
- FE written
- Meet the requirements Part 63.
Course Duration: Approximately 21 Days
Classroom Instruction: 72:00 Hours
System Integration Training: 24:00 Hours (16:00 hours classroom; mock-up or simulator without motion + 8:00 hours briefing)
Simulator/Flight Training: 20:00 Hours per trainee (Level B or higher)
Simulator/Certification Check: As Required, 4 Hours per trainee (Level B or higher)
Boeing 727 Flight Engineer (FE) Recurrent, Part 91.529
This course is to ensure that the Flight Engineer is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the B727 aircraft. The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified Flight Engineers on the B727 aircraft.
Prerequisites:
- Flight Engineer Certificate with Turbo Jet Powered Rating
- Previously trained and qualified as a B-727 Flight Engineer
Course Duration: Approximately 4 Days
