Airbus 330 Type Rating and Training Courses

 
A330 PIC Initial Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61
This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain an A330 Type Rating.
Prerequisites: The crewmember must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land, Instrument Rating, ATP written and meets the requirements of Part 61.
Course Duration: Approximately 21 Days
Classroom Instruction: 49:00 Hours Lecture plus 35 hours of Computer Based Training
System Integration Training: 20:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)
Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired: 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM (Level C or higher)
02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
 
 
A330 PIC Reduced Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61
This curriculum is for personnel who are trained and qualified as a Second-in-Command or currently hold a type rating in the A330 on a foreign certificate. They will have 500 hours in the A330, a current Proficiency Check on the A330, and meet all the eligibility requirements for an ATP certificate if an ATP certificate is sought.
Prerequisites: The crewmember must have been serving as an A330 active crew member within the last 59 months, with a minimum of 500 hours in type; hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land, Instrument Rating, ATP written; or hold an ATP; and meets the requirements of Part 61.
Course Duration: Approximately 10 Days
Classroom Instruction: 28:00 Hours Lecture plus 20 hours of Computer Based Training
Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired: 8:00 Hours PF, 8:00 Hours PM (Level C or higher)
02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
 
 
A330 PIC CCQ Course, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61
This curriculum is for pilots current and qualified on the A320. Applicants must have a minimum of 100 hours of line time on the A320 within the last 120 days or a minimum of 300 hours line time on the A320 with a current proficiency check. If not current, a refresher approved by the TCPM must be completed before the course. 
Prerequisites: The crewmember must have been serving as an A320 active crew member with a minimum of 300 hours, with 100 hours within the last 4 months; hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land, Instrument Rating, ATP written; or hold an ATP; and meets the requirements of Part 61.
Course Duration: Approximately 11 Days
Classroom Instruction: 22:00 Hours Lecture plus 14 hours of Computer Based Training
Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired: 10:00 Hours PF, 10:00 Hours PM (Level C or higher)
02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)
 
 
A330 PIC Recurrent, Part 61.58
This course is to ensure that a PIC crewmember is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the A330 aircraft. The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified PIC crewmembers on the A330 aircraft.
Prerequisites: The crewmember must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with an A330 Type Rating.
Course Duration: Approximately 4 Days
Classroom Instruction: 16:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired: 02:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours PM (Level B or higher)
Simulator/Proficiency Check: 3 Hours per trainee (Level B or higher)
