Boeing 747-200/300 PIC Initial Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61

This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B747-200 Type Rating.


Prerequisites:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
  • Instrument Rating
  • 50 hours Multi Engine flight time
  • ATP written
  • Meets the requirements of Part 61

Course Duration: Approximately 20 Days
Classroom Instruction: 48:00 Hours
System Integration Training: 16:00 Hours (classroom; mock-up or simulator without motion)
Simulator/Flight Training: Paired: 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM, 02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot). Non Paired: 18:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours LOFT
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee

Boeing 747-200/300 PIC Reduced Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61

This course is for crewmembers that have been previously trained and qualified as a Pilot on the B747-200 aircraft, with a minimum of 250 hours logged in aircraft type. The course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B747 Type Rating.


Prerequisites:

  • Served as an B747-200 active crew member within the last 59 months
  • Minimum of 250 hours in type
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
  • Instrument Rating
  • ATP written; or hold an ATP
  • Meets the requirements of Part 61

Course Duration: Approximately 8 Days
Classroom Instruction: 16:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: Paired: 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM or to proficiency, 02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot). Non Paired: 18:00 Hours PF or to proficiency, 02:00 Hours LOFT
Simulator/Certification Check: 3 Hours per trainee

Boeing 747-200/300 PIC Recurrent, Part 61.58

This course is to ensure that a PIC crewmember is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the B747-200 aircraft. The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified PIC crewmembers on the B747-200 aircraft.


Prerequisites:

  •   Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a B747-200 Type Rating

Course Duration: Approximately 4 Days
Classroom Instruction: 16:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: Paired: 02:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours PM. Non Paired:  04:00 Hours PF
Simulator/Proficiency Check: 3 Hours per trainee

Boeing 747-200/300 SIC Initial Qualification, Part 61.55

This course provides the SIC crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a SIC Qualification Check, meeting the requirements of Part 61.55. The course is incomplete until documentation is provided for one takeoff and landing in the B747-200 aircraft.


Prerequisites:

  • Private Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
  • Instrument Rating

Course Duration: Approximately 20 Days
Classroom Instruction: 48:00 Hours
System Integration Training: 16:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)

  • Instrument Rating
  • Previously trained and qualified on the B747-200

System Integration Training: 16:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)
Simulator/Flight Training: Paired: 02:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours PM. Non Paired:  04:00 Hours PF
Simulator/Qualification Check: 3 Hours per trainee

Boeing 747-200/300 FE Initial Certification, Part 63, Subpart B

This course provides the trainee with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B747 Flight Engineer Turbo Jet Powered Certificate.


Prerequisites:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
  • Instrument Rating
  • FE Written
  • Meet requirements of Part 63

Classroom Instruction: 64:00 Hours (If applicant does not hold an FE Turbojet Powered Certificate). 48:00 Hours (If applicant holds an FE Turbojet Powered Certificate)
System Integration Training: 16:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)
Simulator/Flight Training: 20:00 Hours per trainee
Simulator/Qualification Check: 3 Hours (If applicant holds FE Turbojet powered certificate). 5 Hours (If applicant does not hold an FE Turbojet Powered Certificate).

This course is to ensure that the Flight Engineer is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the B747-200 aircraft.  The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified Flight Engineers on the B747-200 aircraft.


Prerequisites:

  • Flight Engineer Certificate with Turbo Jet Powered Rating
  • Previously trained and qualified as a B747-200 Flight Engineer

Classroom Instruction: 16:00 Hours
Simulator/Flight Training: 04:00 Hours per trainee
Simulator/Qualification Check: 3 Hours per trainee
